Legal risks to dating single moms
In some cultures and communities, cousin marriage is considered ideal and actively encouraged; in others, it is subject to social stigma.Cousin marriage is common in the Middle East, for instance, where it accounts for over half of all marriages in some countries.
In others, it is seen as incestuous and is legally prohibited: it is banned in China and Taiwan, North Korea, South Korea, and in less than half of the United States.

Many studies have found that young people raised in single-parent families show more achievement and behavior problems than those who grow up with both their biological parents.
Family sociologists often attribute these developmental problems to the meager financial resources that single parents command, and the less adequate supervision they can exercise over their offspring.
